IBPS RRB Officer Scale 3 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

IBPS RRB Scale 3 Exam Pattern
IBPS RRB Scale 3 Exam pattern has two parts.
- Single Online Test, and
- Interview.
The exam pattern is different for each stage of selection. Successful candidates in online exams will be called for the interview round. The final selection of candidates is made based on their performance in the online exam and interview. IBPS RRB Scale 3 exam pattern provides details regarding the overall structure of the exam, such as marking scheme, total marks, number of sections, and time duration.

Marking Scheme

Candidates can opt for either 5 or 5 b.
Moreover, there is a penalty for wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Online Preliminary and Online Main examination). In the Objective Tests, there will be a penalty for incorrect answers. One-fourth of the marks will be deducted from the overall score of the candidates for each wrong answer. However, there will be no penalty if a question is left blank, that is if the candidate does not mark an answer.

- Candidates must get a minimum score on each online test section to be selected for an interview.
- A sufficient number of candidates in each category, not exceeding three times the declared vacancies, will be contacted for an interview., subject to availability, depending on the number of vacancies available.

Q: How many sections are there in the IBPS RRB Scale-3 questions paper?
A: The question paper includes six sections. However, candidates have to opt only for five sections. As they get a choice in two sections. Moreover, the two sections are English and Hindi.
Q: Does IBPS deduct marks for negative marking?
A: Yes, for each wrong answer IBPS deducts 0.4 marks. However, for skipping a question, no marks get deducted.
