The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is offers assessment and recruitment services for selection of senior management cadre, skilled personnel for various private sector, foreign banks, public sector and their subsidiaries, cooperative banks, financial institutions and public sector units for entry level and higher level personnel. IBPS conducts competitive exam for various position through the recruitment process.

IBPS Clerks 2022 exam is to select Clerical posts of various cadre for participating bank recruitment process has two phases of selection

1. Preliminary Exam
2. Mains Exam

With single application form for entire recruitment process, candidate who qualify in preliminary exam become eligible to appear in mains exam and those who qualify in mains exam become eligible to be selected for the post.

How to apply for IBPS Clerk?

The institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has already declared a notification about IBPS Clerks exam on their official website.

The application start date was 1st of July 2022 and last date for filling online application for Clerical post in any of the participating banks was 21st July 2022.

Step 1: IBPS Clerk Registration

• Candidates aspiring to appear for IBPS Clerk 2022 exam should follow the steps to register their details on the IBPS website for online application.
• Go to IBPS official website
• Check for “New Registration” button,
• Candidates have to enter all essential mandatory information required such as their name, address, parent’s name, email address, mobile phone number and create password.

Step 2: Upload Photo and Signature

• It is essential to collect and keep ready relevant documents such as candidate’s latest photo, image file of signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration after registration.
• Candidates should note that they should not sign in Capital letters as it is not accepted.
• The left thumb impression, photograph and signature should be scanned properly so that they appear accurate and not blur.
• The handwritten statement should be in English language.

Step 3: Fill the detailed application form

Candidates should collect relevant documents to prove their graduation, mention correctly the year of passing, College/University attended, percentage of marks and grade scored.

IBPS Clerk exam 2022 preliminary exam will have one paper of objective type 100 questions divided into three sections

1. English Language
2. Reasoning Ability
3. Quantitative Aptitude

Candidates appearing IBPS prelim exam for IBPS Clerk 2022 should qualify with minimum cut off marks in each of these sections. There will be one hour to complete the paper and total 100 marks for the exam.

• English Language – There will be 30 questions for English language section, there will be maximum of 30 marks for this section and 20 minutes to complete this section.
• Reasoning Ability – There will be 35 questions with maximum of 35 marks and 20 minutes for the section
• Quantitative (Numeric) Aptitude – There will be 35 questions with maximum of 35 marks and 20 minutes for the section

The tabular format of section wise paper format for preliminary exam is as shown below

• There is one paper for prelim exam divided into three sections for total of 100 marks
• There will be 100 questions each question will have 1 mark.
• There is negative marking in prelim exam. Every incorrect answer will have 25% of marks allotted to that question.
• There are no multiple answers for objective type questions.
• The total duration of prelim exam is 60 minutes.

IBPS Mains Exam Pattern

• In IBPS Clerk mains exam has 200 multiple-choice questions divided into four sections
• Candidates appearing IBPS prelim exam for IBPS Clerk 2022 should qualify with minimum cut off marks in each of these sections.
• There will be 2 papers for mains exam,
• English Language section will have 40 questions of one mark each, total marks for the section is 40, total time to complete the section is 35 minutes.
• Reasoning Ability & Computer aptitude section will have 50 questions, total marks for the section is 60, and duration allotted is 45 minutes
• Quantitative Aptitude section will contain 50 questions and total marks 50, duration for this section is 45 minutes
• General/Financial awareness section will have 50 questions and 50 marks and 35 minutes to attempt this section.

There will be one mark for each correct answer, for incorrect answer, there is a negative marking, a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer from total mark scored. If candidate has left question un-attempted there will not be any negative mark removed.

Essential precautions and information while downloading IBPS Clerk Admit Card

• Candidates must check their internet connection to be high speed or WiFi in order to quickly download their admit card from IBPS official website
• Admit Card is a Hall Ticket and candidates will not be allowed without carrying Admit card with them on the exam date at exam centre.
• Candidates should carry two passport size recent photographs – same as those uploaded online during applying for the exam.
• Keep an extra print out of the admit card with you safely in case one is lost and cannot be found.
• Candidates should keep information handy such as exam time, roll number, centre location written in a separate paper.
• IBPS will not send admit card to candidates via post or email,

IBPS Clerk pre-exam training is organized for candidates from SC/ST and minority categories in order to enhance the learning abilities. Pre-exam training webinar is completely free. The expense like travelling, accommodation, food during this 5 day course will have to be taken care by the candidate. Pre-exam training is for candidates who belongs to financially weaker section and can not afford to go for coaching for IBPS Clerk exam. This course will help them to learn about pattern, questions to expect, techniques and trips to solve the problems, how to speed up answering online computer based exams. The training workshop is conducted for 5 days before IBPS clerk exam.
