The institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has already declared a notification about IBPS Clerks exam on their official website.

The application start date was 1st of July 2022 and last date for filling online application for Clerical post in any of the participating banks was 21st July 2022.

Step 1: IBPS Clerk Registration

  • Candidates aspiring to appear for IBPS Clerk 2022 exam should follow the steps to register their details on the IBPS website for online application.

IBPS Clerk exam 2022 preliminary exam will have one paper of objective type 100 questions divided into three sections

Candidates appearing IBPS prelim exam for IBPS Clerk 2022 should qualify with minimum cut off marks in each of these sections. There will be one hour to complete the paper and total 100 marks for the exam.

  • English Language – There will be 30 questions for English language section, there will be maximum of 30 marks for this section and 20 minutes to complete this section.
  • Reasoning Ability – There will be 35 questions with maximum of 35 marks and 20 minutes for the section
  • Quantitative (Numeric) Aptitude – There will be 35 questions with maximum of 35 marks and 20 minutes for the section

  • There is one paper for prelim exam divided into three sections for total of 100 marks
  • There will be 100 questions each question will have 1 mark.
  • There is negative marking in prelim exam. Every incorrect answer will have 25% of marks allotted to that question.
  • There are no multiple answers for objective type questions.
  • The total duration of prelim exam is 60 minutes.

  • In IBPS Clerk mains exam has 200 multiple-choice questions divided into four sections
  • Candidates appearing IBPS prelim exam for IBPS Clerk 2022 should qualify with minimum cut off marks in each of these sections.
  • There will be 2 papers for mains exam,
  • English Language section will have 40 questions of one mark each, total marks for the section is 40, total time to complete the section is 35 minutes.
  • Reasoning Ability & Computer aptitude section will have 50 questions, total marks for the section is 60, and duration allotted is 45 minutes
  • Quantitative Aptitude section will contain 50 questions and total marks 50, duration for this section is 45 minutes
  • General/Financial awareness section will have 50 questions and 50 marks and 35 minutes to attempt this section.

There will be one mark for each correct answer, for incorrect answer, there is a negative marking, a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer from total mark scored. If candidate has left question un-attempted there will not be any negative mark removed.
