SSC JE Important Dates
SSC has released the SSC Calendar 2023 for all its exams on its official website. According to the calendar, the commission will start registering SSC JE on 26th July 2023. According to this notice, the registration process will end on 16th August 2023. The date released for the Paper 1 exam is October 2023.

Nationality / Citizenship
In order to be eligible for the role, the applying candidate must be:
- an Indian citizen, or
- a subject of Nepal/ Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who entered India before to January 1, 1962 with the goal of remaining there permanently, or
- a person of Indian descent who has moved to India with the purpose of staying there permanently from countries including Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (previously Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia, Malawi, and Vietnam.
SSC JE Application Process
After the SSC JE 2023 Notification publication, the online application process for the SSC JE 2023 exam will begin. Candidates interested in Junior Engineer positions must apply and complete their online SSC JE 2023 registration form.
Application fees
After the candidate fills up the application form, they can pay the application fees as per their category.

There are two modes of payment method available for paying the SSC JE application form fees. Students can pay the online fees through BHIM UPI, Net Banking. They can also pay by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Ru Pay Credit, or Debit card. Or else, students can pay fees through offline mode by challan generation. For this, they have to submit an SBI challan at any SBI Bank branch before the due date of the fee payment.
Application Steps
The application process includes several steps, including registration, completing the application form, uploading a photo and a signature, paying the money, and submitting it.
It can be difficult for students to fill up the application form for those appearing for the first time. So, for them, the steps are given below in an easy way.
- The applicant should go to the official site of SSC (ssc.nic.in).
- Select the “Apply Online for SSC JE 2023” link.
- The application form will appear on the computer screen.
- Fill up the application form with accurate details.
- The applicant’s details entered should thoroughly match with their documents.
- After checking that their details are all correct, they should press the submit button.
- Pay the application fees online or in offline mode.
- Save and print out the application form for future use.
SSC JE Admit Card
The admit card for Paper 1 of SSC JE Exam 2023 exam will be published soon by the commission. This exam is for all the people from different regions. It is mandatory for the candidates to carry the admit card to the exam hall.
The process for downloading the 2023 admit card is as follows:
- Visit the official website of SSC (ssc.nic.in).
- Select the “Admit Card” option on the website.
- Select the region from where they belong. It can be Eastern, Northern, etc.
- SSC JE admit card download link will appear on the computer screen.
- Select the link and enter the essential information. It includes Roll Number, Registration Number, Date of Birth, Name, etc.

Note:
- Questions in Paper 1 are objective type, MCQ based.
- In Paper 1, the first two sections are compulsory to for all aspirants. In the third section candidates can pick either Part A, B, or C.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer in Paper 1.

- Paper 2 is a Descriptive paper.

SSC JE Results and Cutoffs
The SSC JE 2022-23 Tier-1 test ended on 16th November 2022. On 18th January 2023, the SSC CGL 2022 tier-1 exam result and qualifying score were made public. By visiting the official website, all candidates can view the SSC JE 2022-23 tier-1 result and cut-off.
How to check SSC JE Results
The steps for checking the SSC JE Exam results are as follows:
- Visit the official website of SSC (ssc.nic.in).
- Click on the “SSC Result Tab” option from the Menu bar.
- Find the “JE” When the student finds it, they should click on the available link beside it.
- A PDF opens on the computer screen.
- The applicant must find their roll number on the PDF sheet. They can do this by pressing a shortcut option (Ctrl + F) and then write the roll number in it.
- If the applicant finds his name and roll number, they are qualified for the Paper 2 Exam.
- The applicant must download and save the result PDF for future references.
SSC JE Cutoffs 2023
The Cut-off mark is the minimum score that an applicant needs to score to qualify for the exam. Paper 1 Cut-off marks for 2022-23 was released along with the results on 18th January 2022. The cut-off scores for Paper 2 will be released soon by the officials.

SSC JE Salaries
SSC JE salary is according to the 7th pay commission. Officers for Group B position are hired through this exam.
