What is SSC CHSL Exam?

SSC CHSL is a combined competitive exam conducted to select Higher Secondary qualified students for various departments and offices of the government. SSC CHSL full form is the Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam.

The SSC CHSL exam includes posts such as Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operator posts. SSC can choose and suggest candidates for Assistants / Clerks posts through a computer-based test, descriptive paper, Skill Test, or a Typing Test.

Latest Updates:

  • SSC CHSL result 2023 of the Tier 1 exam was uploaded on September 27, 2023
  • Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC CHSL tier 1 exam from 02nd to 22nd August 2023.
  • The SSC CHSL Result for Tier 1 2022–23 will be tentatively available on the Staff Selection Commission’s (SSC) official website by April 2023.
  • As per the official notification released on 29th March 2023, SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam will be held on 26th June 2023.

SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria

In the recent notice, SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2023 was disclosed. To be qualified for the SSC CHSL 2023 exam, a candidate must meet three crucial eligibility requirements. Here are the three parameters:

SSC CHSL Age Limit

The aspirant should be 18 – 27 years old as of 01st January 2022. However, certain reserved category candidates can claim for reservation, according to the Indian government norms. The aspirants must not be born before 2nd January 1994 or later than 1st January 2003.

Permissible relaxation in the upper age limit for different categories is as below:

Educational Qualification

Candidates who want to work as government employees should meet the following educational requirements after passing the SSC CHSL Exam.

Nationality / Citizenship

To meet the nationality requirements, the candidate must be:

  • an Indian citizen, or
  • ought to belong to Nepal/ Bhutan, or

  • a person of Indian descent who has migrated to India to stay there permanently from countries including Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Uganda, Burma, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.

SSC CHSL Application Form 2023

The board will start accepting applications after the release of the formal notification for the SSC CHSL exam 2023-24. On 9th May 2023, the SSC CHSL application form is anticipated to be out. Application Steps

The SSC CHSL 2023 online registration process started on 06th December 2022. Interested candidates got registered for Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination through the official website @ssc.nic.in. of SSC. Applicants can use the steps below to complete the SSC CHSL exam application.

  • Visit the official SSC page and register there.
  • For registration, applicants must go to the website’s home page and click the “New User? Register Now” link.
  • Then they must complete the registration form by entering all the necessary information regarding their name, contact information, and educational background.
  • Then upload scanned copies of their IDs and signatures.

  • Download the form and take a print out of the same.

  • Scanned copy of your Signature (1kb < Size < 12 KB) in JPG format.
  • Scanned copy of your image (20 KB < Size < 50kb) in JPG format.

  • The photograph mustn’t be over 3 months previous to the date of the publication of the Notice of Examination.
  • The date on which the photograph was taken should be printed on the photograph.

SSC CHSL Admit Card

Each applicant who enrolls for the SSC CHSL Exam 2023 within the allotted time will receive an electronic admissions card, hall ticket, or call letter that may be downloaded from the SSC website. Soon the publication of the admit card for the CHSL Tier-2 exam will take place (administered to only those candidates who qualify for the Tier 1 exam. The admit card for the CHSL Tier-1 exam was made available from 26th February 2023 onwards.

SSC CHSL Exam Centres

SSC CHSL 2022-23 Tier I & II is conducted across 9 regions, 33 states and Union Territories, 146 cities, and 361 CHSL exam centers. The aspirants prefer to choose 3 exam centers as per their priority at intervals in an equivalent region when filling the Exam center.

The commission wouldn’t entertain any request of fixing the exam center later. Therefore, all the aspirants ought to opt for the exam centers carefully. The Commission has the right to cancel the center and might raise the aspirants to appear for the exam from another exam center.
