What is RRB Group D Recruitment ?

RRB Group D is a national-level exam conducted by the RRBs on behalf of the Railway Recruitment Cells (RRC). RRB Group D exam is an excellent career opportunity after Class 10 who wish to join the Indian Railways. The recruitment is conducted to select candidates for the various posts in Level-1 of the seventh CPC pay matrix such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical, and S&T departments), Assistant Pointsman, and many more.

RRB Group D 2023 Eligibility Criteria

RRBs had revised RRB Group D eligibility criteria for aspirants who wish to apply for the exam in future. The minimum education qualification for candidates applying to the technical departments-Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, and Signal & Telecom departments) and catering wing of Railways must have passed Class 10 and also have National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by National Council for Vocational Training. Nationality:-

A candidate must be either:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. RRB Group D Age Limit The age limit prescribed for Level 1 posts is 18 to 33 years. Relaxation in age limit is provided as per government rule:

RRB Group D Selection Process 2023

The selection process comprises single-stage CBT, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification, and medical examination. Candidates qualifying the CBT are called for PET. Based on the performance in CBT and PET, candidates are called for document verification and medical exam. The final selection of candidates is done based on performance in the CBT provided they qualify the PET, document verification and medical exam. The PET is qualifying in nature. RRB Group D syllabus, which is prescribed by the examination authority, highlights the topics and sub-topics that candidates need to prepare for the exam. RRB Group D 2023 Level-I Exam Pattern

RRB Group D exam pattern 2023 comprises CBT, Document Verification and Medical Examination. According to the RRB Group D exam pattern, the CBT consists of sections, such as General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The duration of CBTs is 90 minutes. For each correct answer in CBT, candidates score one mark. There is also negative marking for wrong answers, 1/3 marks are deducted for wrong answers. CBT is held in 15 languages besides English and Hindi. Candidates qualifying CBT exam are called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This is followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination. How to Apply Online for RRB Group D?

The application process details will be released with the official notification for 2023. Below are the steps to apply for RRB Group D Recruitment 2023.

Step 1: Go to the official website.

Step 2: You will find many notifications regarding various recruitments under RRB.

Step 3: Find the Notification “RRB 2023 Recruitment for Group D” and click on the link.

Step 4: You can see the different Railway Zones. Select the Railway Zone you want to apply and click on New Registration.

Step 5: Fill in the mandatory details like name, e-mail address, contact details, etc; and click on ‘I agree’.

Step 6: An OTP is sent to your Phone number and the Activation Link will be sent to the email address.

Step 7: After the verification of the email address and mobile number. A Registration Number and Password will be sent to your mail.

Step 8: Now login with your Registration number and password and provide your educational details, upload the documents like Category certificate, Marksheets etc.

Step 9: Verify all the details and click on submit once your verified complete details,

Step 10: You will be redirected to the payment gateway website once you click on submit.

Step 11: Pay the required amount and click on the submit button.

Step 12: Once the payment is successful, your RRB Group D application will be generated.

Step 13: Take a printout of the generated application form and payment receipt for future reference.

RRB Group D Selection Process 2023

Candidates have to undergo 4 Stages of the selection process to get recruited by RRB Group D 2023. Candidates need to qualify each stage for selection in the technical department of the Indian Railways.

RRB Group D Educational Qualification

The candidates who are applying for RRB Group D 2023 must pass 10th or ITI from the institution, which is recognized by NCVT/SCVT or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT(National Council of Vocational Training).

RRB Group D Nationality

The nationality is the first aspect seen by the higher authorities and will proceed with the candidate for the further rounds.

The candidate must be an Indian citizen or

i) A Subject from Nepal or

ii) A Subject From Bhutan or

iii) A Tibetian who came over India before 1st January 1962 who was intended to settle in India Permanently.

iv) The candidates who are migrated from Pakistan, Srilanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia Ethiopia, Vietnam, Burma to settle in India permanently.

For the candidates from i, ii, iii, iv points, an eligibility certificate should be issued from the government.
