Education minister to launch coaching platform designed by IIT, IISc faculty: UGC chairman
Self Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams or SATHEE is an initiative by the ministry of education, in association with IIT Kanpur.
NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar today announced that the Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be launching a self-paced interactive learning and assessment platform to prepare students for competitive and other exams on March 6, 2023. Self Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams or SATHEE is an initiative by the ministry of education, in association with IIT Kanpur.
“This platform aims to bridge the gap for the students in society who can’t afford the costly entrance exam guidance and coaching. SATHEE is scheduled to be launched on 6th March 2023 at 10.45 A.M. by the Hon’ble Minister of Education,” the UGC chairman said.
SATHEE, the online platform, “aims to make the students learn the concepts and focus on their weak topics so they feel confident to give any exams by watching videos”. These topics and videos are prepared by Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) faculty members.
The preparation material will be available in English, Hindi, and other regional languages of India to prepare for competitive exams like JEE and NEET.
