Overview

The State Bank of India (SBI) will hold the SBI PO 2022 exam to choose qualified applicants for the 1673 Probationary Officers (PO) positions in various State Bank of India locations. SBI PO Exam Dates and the SBI PO Notification 2022 have both been made public. As per the official notification, the SBI PO 2022 prelims test will be held from December 17 through December 20, and the SBI PO Mains exam will be held in January or February of 2023.

About SBI PO Test

SBI PO examination has four phases of recruitment starting with the preliminary exam which has 100 questions and 100 marks divided into three sections English language, Numerical ability and Reasoning ability. The duration of the prelims is 1 hour. After qualifying prelims exam, successful candidates are invited for the Mains exam which has 190 questions and 200 marks divided into four sections – General/Financial Awareness, General English, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability & computer aptitude. The duration of the mains is 3 hours. Successful candidates will have to undergo pre-joining induction training and an online test after the course. Announcement of the SBI PO exam will be done over SBI official website in the form of a notification.

Selection of SBI PO exam centre

SBI PO exam centres are across India – prelims exam centres are in 200 cities whereas mains exam centres are in 70 cities. Candidates have to select their preference of exam centres while filing the application for SBI PO exam. Candidates are advised to submit their application well in advance in order to get their preferred exam centre.

SBI PO Recruitment

SBI PO exam is organized by the state bank of India for the post of probationary officer to fill their current 1673 vacancies. The recruitment process has three phases. Candidates who qualify in first phase become eligible to appear in the second phase and those who qualify in the second phase will be selected for pre-selection training and an online test. The three phases are prelims, mains and pre-selection training.

Phase I – preliminary test

SBI PO preliminary test has the objective type of paper with multiple choice questions. there are 100 questions and total marks for the paper is 100. prelims has three sections – English language, quantitative aptitude and reasoning ability.

Phase II – mains test

SBI PO mains test has objective type of paper with 190 questions and total marks for paper is 200. mains has four sections General/Financial awareness, General English, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability & computer aptitude.

Phase III – pre-joining induction training

Candidates qualified in Mains exam have to undergo induction training program which has online test at the end of the course. There is continuous monitoring and marking on candidate’s performance and based on this they will be recruited as probationary officer.

SBI PO Results

SBI PO exam authorities declare the result after 15 days of the exam date. The prelims exam in 2021 was on 20,21 and 27th November 2021 and results were declared on 14th December 2021. Mains exam in 2021 was on 2nd January 2022 and results were declared on 26th January 2022. The results are announced on SBI official website.
