Generally, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection decides the Syndicate PO Exam Pattern and Syllabus. So the syllabus will be similar to the PO examinations conducted by other banks in India. Aspirants will have to prepare well for the objective as well as the descriptive test.

Syndicate Bank PO Exam Pattern

The online test consists of objective and descriptive type tests. Also, the bank has the right to modify the structure of the test. Since April 1, 2020 Syndicate bank has merged with Canara Bank. So, this would likely impact the recruitment process as well.  In case of changes, it will be intimated through the official website of the Syndicate Bank.

Syndicate Bank PO examination selection process consists of an online written examination, group discussion, and also personal interview. Syndicate Bank  PO candidates must be dedicated, hardworking, and good at communication skills.

Candidates must get qualified marks in the online objective test to be qualified for the Descriptive Test. Above all the descriptive test is usually conducted to check the candidate’s English skills.

Syndicate Bank PO examination pattern comprises of four sections

Prelims Pattern

Generally, the candidates will have 60 minutes for the online preliminary examination computer-based exam. The exam has a set of 100 one-mark questions, every 100 multiple-choice questions holding each 1 mark. Candidates will also get a negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answers. It is a bilingual exam. Candidates can attend the exam in Hindi or English, but the English skill-related questions will be in English only.

Mains Pattern

  • Generally, the general category candidate should secure a minimum of 50% of the total marks to qualifying for the Interview round.

Interview Process

  • Firstly, Candidates qualifying in the main examination get selected for the interview round. This is the final round in the entire recruitment process.

  • secondly, The organizing committee will announce the candidates selected for the Interview round.

  • Thirdly, the Interview round will be held 100 marks.

  • Finally, the candidates should get 40% of the total marks.

  • Likewise, reserved categories need to secure only 35% of the total marks for qualifying in the interview round.
