Syllabus
SEBI Grade A Syllabus has various topics and it is different for both phases. SEBI Grade A exam pattern has two phases for the post of assistant manager. The candidate must pass phase 1 to attend the phrase 2 exams. After qualifying for both the exams a competent become eligible to hold the position of assistant manager. Many students wanted to pursue their careers in management. Studying and preparing according to the pattern followed for the exam is the key to success. A student must know prior regarding the important topics to be studied in an exam. When a competent is well familiar with the subjects and marking scheme, it becomes easy to clear the exam as well.
The examination conducted by SEBI is divided into three phases.

The aspirants must clear phase 1 and should be shortlisted to advance into phase 2 and finally in the interview. The examination syllabus of phase 1 is different from that of the Phase 2 exams. The question and the exam duration for both the exams are the same. So candidates must be aware of both exam patterns to excel in the exams. The candidates who are attempting the government exam for the first time should thoroughly go through the exam pattern before preparing themselves for the exam.
The exam pattern is not the only thing that differentiates the phase 1 And phase 2 exam, the syllabus for both the exams are different with different subjects and exam sections. Candidates are requested not to be confused with both of the exams.
SEBI Grade A exam pattern
The SEBI Grade A exam is divided into two phases and each phase is subdivided into two papers. Hence, in total, a candidate must clear four papers to appear for the final interview. Each paper has subjects and topics which must be learned thoroughly by the learner for better understanding and this also increases the chance of clearing an exam. General Stream paper I and Paper II are common to all candidates. All questions in each stage will be multiple-choice questions (MCQ), except for language subjects. All exams (except the English exam in the two stages) will be bilingual in Hindi and English.
Exam Pattern for Phase 1
The SEBI Grade A Phase I exam will have two assignments: Paper I and Paper II. Both articles have multiple-choice questions (MCQ). Paper 1 will be used in all sequences, while Paper 2’s test mode will vary for different topics. Both of the papers are of 100 points.
Paper 1 which is the all-stream paper has questions from the subjects such as general awareness, quantitative aptitude, and also reasoning. The paper is of 100 marks and the time allotted to the applicant to complete the same is 60 minutes. The cut-off from this exam is 30%. Paper 1 is the general paper that must be completed by every applicant irrespective of the stream chosen by the applicant.
Paper 1 is followed by paper 2 which is the general stream paper. It has questions from the subjects like commerce, accountancy, management, finance, costing, companies act, and also economics. Besides these, the other subjects are Legal, information technology, official language stream, Engineering (electrical & civil). From the research stream, an applicant can opt from the subjects like Economics, commerce, finance, econometrics. The time allotted to the students to complete this paper is 40 minutes. The paper carries 100 marks and also has a cut-off of 40%. Overall the aggregate of paper 1 is 40%.
SEBI Grade A Exam Pattern for phase 2
Candidates who would have secured the cut-off required for the passing of the phase 1 exam can appear for the phase 2 exam. SEBI Grade A Phase 2 will have two Papers: Paper I and Paper II of 100 marks each. Paper I and General Stream will be common to all. Candidates need to secure more marks in this phase as this would be taken into account for the final selection.
Paper 1 which is the stream paper includes the subjects like English (descriptive test) to test the drafting skills of the applicants. The maximum marks for paper 1 are 100, the duration of the same is 60 minutes. The cut-off of paper 1 is 30%. Paper 2 which is the general stream exam has the MCQs on Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Companies Act & Economics. The cut-off of this exam is 40%.

In both phases, all the subjects are the same which a student must study if he or she has opted for the legal stream. The only difference between the phase 1 and phase 2 exams is that the phase 2 exam also involves taxation as the topic. The number of topics for the legal phase 1 and 2 is 13. SEBI Grade A Syllabus For Phase II: Paper I
