LIC ADO Syllabus

The LIC ADO exam is conducted by the Life Insurance Corporation of India to recruit candidates as Apprentice Development Officers. The syllabus for the exam is set by LIC. The candidates who are willing to appear for the exam should have a basic knowledge of what syllabus will be asked in the exam. This knowledge will help them to prepare well and score high marks in the exam. 

The candidates can get the exam notification from the official website LIC HOME. The LIC ADO notifications have been released zone wise and the number of vacancies varies for each region. The syllabus and the recruitment process are the same for Apprentice Development Officers across all the zones. The preliminary examination consists of basic subjects while, The mains exam includes all of the prelims exam sections, including current affairs, general knowledge, and insurance marketing. The LIC ADO exam syllabus consists primarily of Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and English Language portions. The exam consists of two rounds, followed by an interview round. The interview round includes aptitude-based questions that assess the candidate’s reasoning and thinking abilities.

The LIC official notification will soon be released for the post of ADO. The candidates who are willing to join the Life Insurance industry can apply for the ADO post. It is not easy to clear the LIC ADO exam. Because the selection process consists of three phases i.e. Online Exam, Interview, and Medical Test. The Online exam includes two stages, the Preliminary exam and the Mains exam. There are 3 sections in the prelims exam:

  1. English language
  2. Numerical Ability
  3. Reasoning

The Mains exam consists of all the sections of the Prelims exam including:

  1. Current affairs
  2. General Knowledge
  3. Insurance Marketing

The candidates should go through the syllabus of each subject properly to crack the exam. LIC ADO Prelims Syllabus

The preliminary exam is conducted only for the Open market category candidates. The candidates participating in this exam have to give the test for 1 hour in the respective examination centers.

The subjects include English for 30 marks, Reasoning, and Numerical Ability, each for 35 marks.

The candidates who are giving their exam in Hindi will also have an English exam.

LIC ADO Mains Syllabus

The Mains examination of LIC ADO is conducted for all categories that include LIC Agents, and LIC Employees. Excluding open market category candidates, all the other candidates can participate in the mains exam as the first phase.

The candidates have to give the test for 2 hours.

LIC ADO Exam Pattern

The LIC ADO exam pattern is an important thing to be known to all the candidates who are willing to appear for the LIC ADO exam 2022.

The LIC is yet to release the official notification of the LIC ADO 2022 examination on its official website homepage. Selection will be made on the basis of the online test followed by an Interview of candidates who qualify in the online test and subsequent pre-recruitment Medical examination.

The apprentice development officer entrance exam paper is divided into five sections: general knowledge and awareness, verbal and nonverbal reasoning, numerical ability, English language and insurance, and financial marketing awareness.

LIC ADO Personal Interview

The candidates who are qualified in the online exam will be allowed to sit in the interview round.

The interview is for 37 marks. It includes the questions of reasoning to check the thinking capabilities of the candidate.

Medical Exam

The candidates who qualified in the interview round will be taken into medical test procedure. The final list of selected candidates in the examination will be released after the medical test.
