It’s time for the candidates to start the preparation. Before preparing for the Exam the first step of the candidate is to know the detailed exam pattern and the syllabus of the exam. Knowledge of the detailed syllabus will help to understand the exam pattern and you can make your study plan depending on the pattern.
The Exam Pattern of J&K PO Bank Exam consists of 3 stages:
- Prelims
- Mains
- Interview
The Exam pattern is different for each stage, candidates qualifying in Pre-Exam can go for the next round that is Mains Exam. After qualifying for the mains exam candidate will be called for the interviews. The final selection of the candidates will depend on the Interview, shortlisted candidates will be posted to the J&K Bank depending on their choice of location.
The Syllabus and exam pattern of the J&K Bank PO exam is similar to other banking exams syllabus. Its pattern consisting of subjects like Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, English Language, Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, and General /Financial Awareness. J&K Bank PO Exam pattern provides you all the details about the exam’s overall structure which contains the marking scheme, number of sections, total marks, and also time duration for the exam.

J&K Bank PO Exam Pattern
Below are some important points of the J&K Bank PO Exam Pattern for Prelims and Mains.
- The prelims of the J&K PO Exam Consist of three sections which are English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. The detailed Exam pattern of the Prelims Exam is given in the table below.
- The Mains section for the J&K Bank PO exam has four sections that are English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and an additional section which is Current Affairs and Basic Computer Proficiency.
- There will be a negative marking of 1/4 marks of the total marks of the wrong question. This negative marking will be in both the stages that are Prelims and Mains.
- There will be no negative marking for the questions which are not attended.
- A score of the J&K PO Exam will not be added to the Merit List.
- While preparing, the Merit list score of Mains and Interviews will be considered in the ratio 80:20.
Preliminary Exam Pattern
The J&K PO Prelims exam consists of three sections. All the details of several questions asked duration for each section and Marks are given in the following table:

Note:
This is an important point to be noted that candidates have to pass in each 3 sections by securing the minimum cut-off marks decided by the J&K Bank. An adequate number of candidates qualified in Prelims will be selected for the Mains exam depending on the requirements in the J&K Bank.
Mains Exam Pattern
Candidates who get qualified in the prelim exam have to give the main exam for J&K Bank PO selection. So, Candidates should thoroughly prepare for the mains exam because it’s the final stage for the selection of candidates for Personal Interviews. Mains Exam consists of four sections. All the details of the number of Questions asked duration for each section and Marks are given in the table below:

Exam Interview Process
Candidates who qualify for the J&K PO Mains Exams are called for the Interview and this interview is the final stage for the selection of J&K Bank PO. Interviews are conducted in the selected centers and the interview venue, time, and date of the interview are informed to the candidates through call letters.
Allotted total marks for the interview is 100 and the minimum qualified marks for the interview is 40% for the General category and 35% for SC/ST/Socially and educationally backward class/PCP candidates). The ratio of online mains exams and interviews is 80:20. Candidates who can’t secure the minimum score will not be included in the further procedure of allotment in the Bank.
A Candidate applying for the J&K PO exam should qualify in both the main exam and interview and get a high score to be on the merit list for the selection process.
J&K Bank PO Exam Syllabus
Four subjects are asked in the J&K PO exam. The preliminary and Main exam consists of four similar subjects which are English Language, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability. But in mains there is one extra subject which is General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. Detailed knowledge of the syllabus will help the candidate to prepare better for the exam. The syllabus of the Preliminary exam and Main’s exam will be the same in three subjects as mentioned below.
